Research and Development Defense Projects Presented at Student Videoconference

The chapter participated in the Conference "Research and Development in Defense and Sixth Annual Student Clubs Meeting" in September. This event, held at the Portuguese Military Institute University, was attended by representatives of the armed forces, industry, academia and research and development centers to share information and opportunities on defense projects.

The broadcasted videoconference had the participation of Porto Student Club members and Joao Galante from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, gave a presentation on the Laboratory of Underwater Systems and Technologies with an impact on operating vehicles and tools already developed for real exercises in partnership with the Portuguese Navy.

The presentation was followed by a debate on the topic, moderated by Jose Borges, Portuguese Military Academy professor and Portugal Chapter vice president.

At the closing session, Portugal Chapter President Victor Lobo acknowledged the positive balance of this conference and thanked the speakers, participants and the entities supporting the event.
