The chapter hosted a networking event in October with over 40 business professionals in attendance.
The chapter board members and professionals from across the region gathered to enjoy refreshments and get reacquainted. "We are eager to have the chapter back up and running after a hiatus due to COVID-19," said Chapter President Andrew Hair. "With Fort Bliss, the UTEP Aerospace Center, Western Technical College (WTC), and a burgeoning tech industry, this region is ripe with potential. It was great seeing some of El Paso's leaders come together to network and discuss future events and ambitions."
The entire southwest region is a technology corridor rich with pioneers in cutting-edge fields such as 3D printing, defense manufacturing, aerospace, energy and artificial intelligence. The chapter aspires to strengthen relationships between lead innovators in private industry, military and academia to harness a talent pipeline and ecosystem that creates more regional jobs and business opportunities. Tigua Inc., Masser Technologies and WTC sponsored the event.
Through engagement, thought leadership, and future networking opportunities, the chapter's ambitions are to strengthen national security and further the advancement of STEM education and Wounded Warrior endeavors. This story will continue to unfold in 2023 as the chapter plans more networking events, thought leadership engagements, an Emerging Leaders program and STEM projects.
