Meeting Held in Rome To Exchange Ideas About AFCEA

In October, Tina Jordan, vice president of membership, AFCEA International; Maj. Gen. Erich Staudacher, chapter vice president of EMEA and general manager of AFCEA Europe; and Brig. Gen. Paul Fredenburgh III, executive vice president, AFCEA International, met in Rome with the chapter. Present at the meeting were Lt. Gen. Antonio Tangorra, chapter president; Donatella Dominici, chapter vice president for academia; Lorenzo D'Onghia, chapter vice president for industry; Vincenzo Vitiello, chapter treasurer and executive committee member.

The meeting was an opportunity to explain to Gen. Fredenburg the organization and activities of the chapter. It was also an excellent occasion for a frank and cordial exchange of ideas on the problems of the chapter and of AFCEA in general. Among the most significant were setting up the new AFCEA International website, the difficulties in locally increasing membership, especially among young people, and the need to maintain an adequate number of events to ensure the necessary funds to continue to finance Level II masters. All the guests, especially Jordan, had sincere and cordial words of appreciation for the work done by the chapter and what it contributes to the entire AFCEA community
