Chapter Holds 11th Annual Gold Circle Breakfast

Google Cloud and BAE Systems sponsored the chapter's Gold Circle Breakfast held in conjunction with the chapter's New Horizons Symposium in March. This was the chapter's first year back live after being virtual for the last two years. Vint Cerf was the guest speaker for the Gold Circle Breakfast. Cerf, the co-designer of the TCP/IP [transmission control protocol/internet protocol] protocols and the architecture of the internet, walked the attendees through history beginning in the 1960s at Stanford and his work on the Apollo program. Cerf's presentation journeyed through the birth and explosion of the internet, stopping along the way at 'trigger points' where significant decisions were made that allowed for more information and greater understanding. He culminated with his latest work on the interplanetary networking protocol while tasking participants to challenge their assumptions about AI.
