In June, the chapter organized an event titled "Resilient Communications for Operating in a Complex Multi-domain Environment" to present the state-of-the-art and crucial new technologies delivering resilient communications essential for operating in a complex multidomain environment comparing different operational needs with the capabilities offered by new technologies.
After a welcome by Gen. Antonio Tangorra, ITAF (Ret.), chapter president, Gen. B. Davide Pilatti, commander of the Italian Army Transmission Department, stated that the conference's framework was related to the 70th Anniversary of the Italian Army Transmission Corps. Therefore, various military and industry speakers spoke at the event with remarkable speeches.
Capt. Stefano Principe, Italian Army Transmission Department, presented "The Continuity of Tactical Radio Communications in Anti-RCIED Jamming Situations."
Giuseppe Prinzivalle, IES Srl, illustrated the "Waveform Protection and Analysis System in Tactical Communications," about the use of a radio channels emulator in wireless communication testing, providing greater reliability and reduced costs.
Sabrina Wahib, Thales Alenia Space Italy, provided an overview of "LEO Small Satellite Constellation for Narrow Band and Broad Band Telecommunication Applications."
Cmdr. Carlo Roatta, Procurement Directorate, TELEDIFE, spoke about "Modern Procurement for Innovative Telecommunications: the Role of TELEDIFE in Defense.'
Cinzia Crostarosa, Larimart, presented 'Personal Safety and Operability With Respect to Voice Communications and Technological Innovation - Larimart Electronic Equipment for Simple, Reliable and Resilient Communications in Application Domains.'
Lt. Col. Pasquale Silvestro, Italian Army Staff, discussed "The EW Component for Supremacy in the Electromagnetic Environment."
Italo Trisolini Longobardi, Intecs Solutions SpA, gave an overview of "The Evolution of SDR Technique According to Intecs Solutions SpA."
Enzo Fortunato, Leonardo, illustrated the "5G Applications in Tactical Networks - Security Aspects: Area Network Evolution, Communications Reliability and Resilience."
Andrea Brancaleoni and Francesco Spadafora, Keysight Technologies, spoke about "Accelerating Innovations in 5G Non-Terrestrial Networks."
Giovanni Gasbarrone, ANUTEI, gave the last speech of the day, titled "Evolution of Resilient Telecommunications Infrastructure Toward 6G and Quantum Cybersecurity."
In the end, the chapter president thanked all speakers and participants.
