LEXINGTON-CONCORD CHAPTER CHAPTER - Oct 24, 2023 |
Science Teachers Receive Checks During Robot Block Party |
This year, the chapter kept with tradition and awarded two science teachers with checks for $2,000 each to provide additional tools needed to promote student interest and passion in science and technology. The teacher's received their checks during an annual robot block party where they brought their students to experience hands-on robotics workshops. Funds provided to New Mission High School in Boston will be used to purchase hands-on Air.bit 2 programmable drone class kits and micro.bits software to develop, build, code and fly drones. Funds provided to Charlestown High School, also a Boston public school, will be used to purchase Rinch 2.0 robots and mBot Mega robots to teach hands-on robotics basics, programming and problem-solving with computational thinking. |
