Chapter Hosts 17th Annual Military IT and Cyber Awards

In May, the chapter held its 17th Annual Military IT & Cyber Leadership Awards that recognized outstanding officers and enlisted service members across the services and the joint community for their significant contribution to the warfighter using information technology and cybersecurity. This event is a salute to the information technology and cybersecurity warfighters for their service and dedication and recognizes their contributions and sacrifices in defending our nation. The event was keynoted by Lt. Gen. William "Joe" Hartman, USA, deputy commander, U.S. Cyber Command.

Recognition was given to 18 exceptional service men and women at the chapter's Military IT & Cyber Leadership Awards event. Each branch of the armed services-the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Space Force-had two awardees, one enlisted and one officer, from any location worldwide, nominated for their significant contributions over the past year. Special consideration was given to those who have displayed remarkable bravery. Additionally, the chapter presented a National Guard Officer and Enlisted Award, and four awards to service members, two officers and two enlisted, who excelled in joint assignments.
