In July, the chapter organized the conference "Resilience: Operational Solutions To Support Data and Communications Management." The conference topics presented an overview of the challenges of new cyber threats supported by artificial intelligence technology and outlined strategies to strengthen the digital resilience of networks and data management assets against such threats.
After a welcome by Lt. Gen. Antonio Tangorra, ITAF (Ret.), chapter president, Brig. Gen. Davide Pilatti, commander of the Italian Army Transmission Department, underlined the strong relationship that has bound the chapter to the Transmission Command for years. Therefore, various military and industry speakers spoke at the event with remarkable presentations. The first talk, "Cyber Resilience of Military Telecommunications: Military Requirements," was given by Pilatti.
The first speech for corporate was Nicola Grandis, DigitalPlatforms: "Multidomain Scenarios: Artificial Intelligence for Defence and Effective Counter-Attack in Multidomain Scenarios."
Next were Fulvio Risso and Marco Mangiulli, Aruba. "LIQO e ArubaKube: The Cloud Continuum Made ReaI."
Andrea Conti, Leonardo, spoke on "Enhanced Situational Awareness and Multidomain Operations."
This was followed by C.V. Daniele Sangermano, Comando Operazioni in Rete (COR), who presented 'Generation of Cyber Offensive Effects in Multidomain Operations.'
Paolo Conforto, Thales Alenia Space Italia, introduced a new topic: 'Quantum Distribution of Cryptographic Keys for Secure Telecommunications.'
Next was Pietro Felisi, Barracuda Networks, who spoke about "IoT Security: How To Increase the Level of Protection in the Face of New Scenarios.'
To cover another sector, Daniela Pistoia, Elettronica, presented "Electronic Warfare and Cyber Warfare: Two Sides of the Same Coin."
The last two presentations were given by Stefano Penna, N.I.D.O., "AppSec Synopsis: Your Application Security in One Solution," and Franco Braun, Rubrik, 'How To Recover Quickly, Safely and Securely: Keeping Data Safe and Resilient.'
