10th Annual 5K Run for STEM Education Raises Over $9,600

The chapter's Emerging Leaders successfully hosted their 10th Annual 5K Run for STEM Education in October at Bedford High School in Bedford, Massachusetts. With 140 enthusiastic participants and a dedicated team of volunteers, the event was a vibrant celebration of community and education, featuring races, raffles and snacks under sunny skies.

Thanks to the generosity of participants, sponsors and donors, the event raised over $9,600 for the chapter's education fund. These funds will support various STEM initiatives, including the AFCEA Fellowship Program and ROTC Scholarships, fostering educational opportunities for the next generation of leaders.

The Emerging Leaders extend their heartfelt gratitude to their sponsors, the town of Bedford, the Bedford Police and Fire Departments, Bedford High School and the Department of Recreation for their invaluable support in transitioning to a new 5K location. Special thanks also go out to the volunteers who helped organize and manage the event, energizing the day with their enthusiasm and commitment.

This milestone event exemplifies the power of collaboration in advancing STEM education. Here's to many more years of success!
