Unsung Heroes Honored at Chapter Ceremony

The annual AFCEA Lexington-Concord Chapter Unsung Hero Awards Ceremony, held at the Minuteman Commons in Lincoln, Massachusetts, celebrated the exceptional dedication and achievements of individuals who have gone above and beyond in supporting their organizations. Capt. Hansel Suharli, USAF, served as the evening's emcee, welcoming distinguished guests and award recipients from the military, government and AFCEA community.

The Unsung Hero Award, a hallmark of the AFCEA Lexington-Concord Chapter, highlights individuals whose contributions often go unnoticed but are pivotal to the success of their organizations. This year's recipients represented diverse fields, each embodying the spirit of service, innovation, and excellence. The following were recognized for their efforts: Calvin D. Irwin, Louis A. Tetreault, Michael Lademan, Travis J. Bell, Kelly Silvonic & Master Sgt. James Sweet.

The evening concluded with a heartfelt surprise as Mike Adams, long-time chapter treasurer and dedicated volunteer, was named the 2024 AFCEA Lexington-Concord Chapter Unsung Hero. His contributions, including meticulous financial management and community engagement, have been instrumental to the chapter's success. The evening was a reminder of the "giving back" spirit to the local military community.
