AUGUSTA-FORT GORDON CHAPTER CHAPTER - Aug 09, 2007

In August the chapter presented $7,000 in AnySchool Scholarships during an event at the Gordon Club. Staff Sgt. James Kundert, USAF, 338th Training Squadron, Fort Gordon, received the Jerry Lapp Memorial Scholarship of $1,500, endowed by Engineering Solutions and Products, Incorporated (ESP). Kundert is an electronics major at Southern Illinois University. Ten more college students majoring in sciences received scholarships of $750 or $500. Corporate sponsors of the AFCEA Educational Fund are Harris Corp., Janus Research Group, Inc., ESP, and Rockwell-Collins. The chapter also held their 2nd annual scholarship golf tournament at Fort Gordon on August 24.
