In September, the chapter hosted its annual Fall Golf Tournament at the scenic Atkinson Country Club in Atkinson, New Hampshire. The event was a tremendous success, drawing a strong turnout of golfers representing a wide range of companies and organizations across the Hanscom community.
The day began with a heartfelt moment of silence honoring Maria Bandouveres, the longtime executive assistant to the program executive officers at Hanscom Air Force Base. Maria's remarkable 81 years of federal service made her the longest-serving civil servant in U.S. history. Her recent passing at the age of 98 was deeply felt, and participants reflected on her extraordinary life of dedication, professionalism and kindness before teeing off.
Following the tribute, golfers enjoyed a beautiful day of competition, camaraderie and community spirit. The event offered an opportunity to connect colleagues, strengthen mentorship and celebrate the shared commitment that defines the chapter.
Congratulations to Lt. Col. James Herold, Maj. Travis Deckert, Capt. Josh Wu and Marshall Faulker, winners of both the Mentorship Flight and Low Gross categories-an impressive achievement in a highly competitive field.
