DLA's Digital Strategy and the Role of Artificial Intelligence |
In May, the chapter hosted a luncheon centered on Defense Logistics Agency's (DLA's) Digital Strategy and the role of artificial intelligence (AI), the agency's approach to AI, some use cases, workforce considerations and what's next for its AI journey. The program keynote was given by Adarryl M. Roberts, director of DLA Information Operations (J6) and chief information officer (CIO). In his role, Roberts is responsible for coordinating and integrating information technology policies, planning, acquisition and investment management across DLA in support of Department of Defense (DOD) missions. The event brought together government and industry professionals to explore the role of artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and data-driven capabilities. The event convened government and industry leaders to examine how emerging technologies are shaping the DLA's mission, the agency's approach to AI adoption, current and potential use cases, workforce considerations and the path forward for the DLA's AI journey. In addition to the featured discussion, the chapter recognized outstanding contributions within the chapter. Katie Kernus was named SuperNOVA of the Month, Abby Bolton received an Emerging Leader of the Month, and Appian was recognized as Company Sponsor of the Month.
