SOUTHERN ARIZONA CHAPTER CHAPTER - Oct 25, 2007

AFCEA International, the City of Sierra Vista and officials from Fort Huachuca joined forces to assist in kicking off the chapter's 25th annual Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) Systems Technology Exhibition at Fort Huachuca, Arizona in October. The event was held at Barnes Field House, located near the headquarters of the U.S. Army Intelligence Center (USAIC) and School, as well as the Army Network Enterprise Technology Command and 9th Army Signal Command. According to the event chairman, Larry Bingaman, more than 120 companies and 480 company representatives participated in the exhibition. The conference provided networking opportunities for attendees from government, academia, military and industry. The agenda included two social receptions, a golf tournament, a keynote dinner and a special 25th anniversary luncheon. Jerry V. Proctor, deputy commandant of the USAIC delivered the keynote address to more than 200 people attending the dinner. Brig. Gen. Anthony Ierardi, USA, commanding general of Joint Task Force North, spoke at the luncheon. Lt. Gen. John A. Dubia, USA (Ret.), executive vice president of AFCEA International; Dave Grundies AFCEA regional vice president; Maj. Gen. John Custer, USA, commander, USAIC; and Sierra Vista Mayor Robert Strain also participated in the events.

The ceremony also featured the Buena High School marching band, which performed the Star Spangled Banner, and posting of the colors by the VFW Post 9972 Honor Guard.
