In January the chapter cohosted the 2008 Defense Forum, which attracted a record-breaking 165 attendees. Speakers included Bob Matthews, Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division; Col. Frank Kelley, USMC, program manager for Training Systems; Col. Kevin Dietrick, USA, deputy program executive office-Simulation, Training and Instrumentation; and Col. Lou Olinto, USAF, commander, Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation. Fred Eisele, chapter council chair, in his opening remarks advised the audience that the conference's primary purpose is to address issues of mutual interest and coordinate program activities. Each of the speakers provided an overview of their organization's as well as their respective service's activities. A common thread was that there are tremendous changes going on in the acquisition process and integrated training for the coalition warfighter is a central focus.
