The chapter held its first annual Initiatives Excellence Awards in July. "These awards are presented to government leaders who have made contributions from a 'big picture' perspective. These awardees have made overarching contributions, not to just one agency but to all of government," said Kenneth Touloumes, chapter president. Award winners include Karen Evans, administrator, Office of E-Government and Information Technology, Office of Management and Budget (OMB); David Bibb, acting administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration; Danny Werfel, controller, OMB; Linda Koontz, director, Information Technology Directorate, U.S. Government Accountability Office; Fred Schobert, chief technology officer, Integrated Technology Services, Federal Acquisition Service, U.S. General Services Administration; Computer Security Division, National Institute of Standards and Technology; Erin Won, program manager, Information Technology Infrastructure Optimization Line of Business, U.S. General Services Administration Office of Government-wide Policy; and Ivan DeLoatch, managing partner, Geospatial Line of Business, OMB. |
