PENSACOLA CHAPTER CHAPTER - Oct 18, 2008

In October, the chapter hosted its 9th annual scholarship golf tournament, in which 26 teams competed at the Solutia Golf Club in Cantonment, Florida. This year's event generated more than $3,700. Proceeds from the event will be used to provide scholarships to local students from area colleges who are furthering their education in technology, engineering and the sciences. "These funds are committed as part of our ongoing effort to assist students striving for technical degrees," stated Robyn Philips, chapter vice president for awards and education. "On behalf of the scholarship recipients and all our chapter members, please accept a grateful and hearty thank you and well done!" commented Patrick Rooney, chapter president.
