Sean Perryman (GS-15) is one of the Navy's
foremost
experts in cybersecurity authorizations, including
Risk Management Framework (RMF). As the
Information
Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for the Navy
Marine
Corps Intranet (NMCI) and OCONUS Navy Enterprise
Network (ONE-Net); Mr. Perryman was responsible
for
over 400,000 endpoints, 700,000 users, and almost
1,100 cybersecurity authorizations. His
consolidation of authorizations from 1,100 down to
136 in RMF, his development of full eMASS
automation, reduction of ATO timelines by 80%,
automation of 360 million STIG checks, and
documented savings north of $140 million are just
a
few of his notable accomplishments leading to him
recently being awarded the Navy's Meritorious
Civilian Service Award; the Navy's third highest
civilian medal. In late 2023 Mr. Perryman
transitioned to serving as the ISSM for Project
Overmatch, helping to realize the Naval
Operational
Architecture (NOA) to better serve the warfighter
at the edge.
Mr. Perryman is also a Navy veteran and is
surrounded by service in his immediate family: his
grandfather was a Marine, his father is a retired
Air Force Chief Master Sergeant, his son is an
Army
veteran, and his brother is still serving in
uniform as the Fleet Master Chief for US Fleet
Forces Command. |
