Advancements in semiconductors and microelectronics are pivotal to the progression of several other critical & emerging technologies (CETs) that will be addressed during this conference. In this session, we will not only discuss the general needs for advancement but also emphasize the interconnections between these technologies. This will be achieved through two panels:
- The first panel will consist of senior federal officials who will discuss the importance of advancements in semiconductors & microelectronics to the progression of other CETs. They will also delve into the Department of Defense's microelectronics commons and the challenges faced in the supply chain.
- The second panel will feature experts from the private sector who will share their insights, with a particular focus on supply chain, production, and their reaction to the Microelectronics Commons. They will also discuss how it influences their future strategies.
