Exposition Covers Avionics

In March, the chapter co-hosted the 5th Aviation and Avionics Systems Seminar and Exposition with Electronic Valley, the premier web portal for a wide spectrum of electronics sectors in Turkey, and several other organizations. The event, held at the Middle East Technical University Convention Center in Ankara, Turkey, brought together key players from the government, military, industry, academia and various think tanks. It aimed to accelerate the development of the avionics and aerospace sectors in Turkey by creating synergy among the related domestic and international companies and institutions; to help the development of small- and medium-sized enterprises to support the industry; and to motivate young entrepreneurs, scientists and students in these fields. More than 500 people attended the event. Most of the participants were members of the Turkish aviation and avionics sectors. During the seminar, the chapter gave a presentation and hosted a booth to promote AFCEA.
