Seminar Addresses Military Electronics
In September, the chapter partnered with Electronics Valley, a web portal for a wide spectrum of electronics sectors in Turkey, along with several other organizations to host the Military Electronics Systems Seminar and Exposition. This event was held at the Middle East Technical University Convention Center in Ankara, Turkey. The seminar's main goal was to increase the common knowledge and shared experiences by bringing together key players from the government, military, industry, academia and various think tanks who are interested in developments in the field of military electronics.
The other event objectives were to create synergy among the related domestic and international organizations; to help the development of small- and medium-sized enterprises; to support industry; and to motivate young entrepreneurs, scientists and students in these fields. More than 200 people attended the event. Most of the participants were members of the Turkish defense electronics industry. During the seminar, the chapter promoted AFCEA International with a presentation and a booth at the exhibition hall.
