Forum Addresses Challenges of Digital Transformation

In May, the chapter and IDC Portugal organized the seminar "Cybersecurity Forum: Emerging Risks in Digital Transformation" at the Military University Institute (IUM) in Lisbon, Portugal. The event was attended by 250 individuals from armed and security forces, government organizations, academia, research centers and industry. Speakers included national and international experts. The forum's objective was to share knowledge about cybersecurity, information security, risk management, identity management, regulation and privacy against the backdrop of the digital transformation of the organizations. The combined effect of a new generation of malware, the application of Crime-as-a-Service (CaaS), the Web 2.0 and threats related to this new communications infrastructure and the increasing use of mobile technology has increased exponentially cybersecurity dangers. On the other hand, the pressure for organizations to accelerate their digital transformation has fundamentally changed the security paradigm for businesses worldwide.
