Cybersecurity Committee Discusses the GDPR

The chapter's Cybersecurity Committee hosted the Security and Privacy Executive Forum in March at Lisbon's Evolution Hotel. This was the first meeting of the 23-member working group to encourage discussion around prevention and mitigation of security risks and preparing for adoption of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The group's purpose is to strengthen communication and data sharing between information security directors and other similar officials in government, military, academia, industry and research and development centers. The committee is limiting the number of participants by means of a specific invitation to make the discussion more effective.
