Members Receive Medals for Strong Chapter Support

The chapter recognized members in February at its 30th anniversary commemoration for their association involvement and strong support of chapter activities. Chapter President Rear Adm. Mario Durao, PRT N (Ret.), presented the AFCEA Medal for Outstanding Services in 2017 to recipients during the event at the Lisbon Congress Center in Lisbon, Portugal. Recipients include Gabriel Coimbra, IDC Portugal; Pedro Sinogas, Tekever; Cdre. Jorge Pires, head of the Directorate of Communications and Information Systems, Portuguese Joint Chief of Staff; Jorge Oliveira, Oracle; Cdre. Bento Domingues, PRT N, information technology superintendent; Brig. Gen. Passos Morgado, PRT AF, head of the Directorate of Communications and Information Systems; Gil Cartaxeiro, ONEbase; and Brig. Gen. Bento Soares, PRT A, head of the Directorate of Communications and Information Systems, Portuguese Army.
