MONTGOMERY CHAPTER CHAPTER - Jan 31, 2018

State of the BES Sizes Up Successes, Changes

The chapter hosted a January luncheon with guest speaker Col. Kyle Reybitz, USAF, deputy program executive officer (PEO) for Business and Enterprise Systems (BES), at Wynlakes Country Club in Montgomery, Alabama. Col. Reybitz spoke to a full house of military, industry and government personnel on the state of the BES. First, he gave an overview of the BES and highlighted some successes. He then discussed plans to update strategic goals. Col Reybitz also covered some of the guidance that has come down from headquarters about cloud migration and the push for agile development that will drive change across the enterprise. The luncheon also served as an opportunity to formally install this year's elected chapter officers: Brian Knott, president; Col. Kyna McCall, USAF, vice president; Tija Brown, Young AFCEA Advisory Council president; Charisse Stokes, director, Education Foundation; Candace Akerson, secretary; and Cheryl Brown, treasurer. The chapter welcomes all new and returning officers and thanks Col. Reybitz for donating his time to speak.
