A Cause Fit for Young AFCEANs

The chapter's Young AFCEAN Advisory Council "Get Fit" program participated in the eighth annual Centerpoint Half Marathon and 5K in April. The team of young professionals from the military, government and industry braved the rain on an early Saturday morning in Prattville, Alabama, to run for a good cause. All proceeds from the event support local and international student missions hosted by Centerpoint Fellowship Church. This year, students are expected to volunteer in Honduras, Peru, Mexico, Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Atlanta. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds supports Stella's Voice, an organization that seeks to provide housing, education and hope for orphans in Moldova to prevent them from becoming victims of human trafficking. The Young AFCEANs are proud to support worthy causes and look forward to future "Get Fit" events.
