Education Foundation Grants Support STEM in River Region

In October, the Montgomery Chapter Education Foundation invested in STEM education and development in the River Region. This included more than $35,000 for three Robotics Awards, two Science Teaching Tools Awards and two Chapter Initiative Grants. Wetumpka High School's Robotics Club, Macon County Public Schools and Montgomery Public Schools were recipients of robotics grants, which will enable their programs to purchase hardware, software and travel needed for robotics competitions. The recipients of the Chapter Initiative Grant were Montgomery Public Schools and Macon County Public Schools. These grants will enable the schools to provide professional STEM development for their teachers and fund a computer lab project. Montgomery Public Schools and Macon County Public Schools also received the chapter's Science Teaching Tools Awards. Montgomery Chapter Education Foundation is invested in growing the next generation of STEM professionals and looks forward to continuing to inspire more students to seek STEM careers.
