AFCEAN of the Month To Be Named at Next Chapter Event

For his outstanding contributions and overall dedication to the association and the chapter, AFCEA is proud to name Nick Farinacci AFCEAN of the Month. Nick Farinacci is a business development account manager for TEKsystems, overseeing their federal business portfolio in the Los Angeles market. Farinacci has made notable contributions to the chapter, where he has served as the vice president for operations over the past year. Additionally, he has worked to solidify excellent working relations between the chapter and multiple organizations across the Air Force's Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) and the 61st Air Base Group host unit utilizing his extensive program management experience and longtime personal relationships. Since 2015, Farinacci has been an active member of the chapter, handling responsibilities as the regional industry Young AFCEAN as well as the vice president of operations. He actively worked on the planning and "day-of" coordinating for three major conferences for GPS, MILSATCOM and Space Industry Days to promote interaction between the government, industry partners and other interested stakeholders. For Young AFCEAN, Farinacci has invigorated outreach programs to connect young government professionals within the Los Angeles Aerospace community. Farinacci engaged the Space and Missile Systems Center's (SMC) Civilian Development Group (CDG) president and presented the benefits of AFCEA at a CDG general assembly. He campaigned for new YAC members by hosting networking events for government, military and industry personnel; attendees were encouraged to join AFCEA in all of the region's chapters. Lastly, he coordinates logistics and registration support for the chapter monthly luncheons, which provide a critical source of funds for AFCEA scholarships. Serving as a business development account manager, Farinacci works in Los Angeles and Ventura County for TEKsystems, the number one IT Staffing and Service Company in the United States. His team of professionals concentrates on agile delivery models of IT specialists, many of whom are former military. Customers include the Los Angeles Air Force Base 61st Communications Squadron, several wings and groups at the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), as well as the Point Mugu and Port Hueneme Naval Bases. Farinacci's knowledge of government accounts, technical challenges, and application of TEKsystems proprietary tools makes him a valuable member of the chapter's board of directors.
