Local Military and Community Students Receive School Supplies

The chapter presented the Joint Base San Antonio Raptor Booster Club with a $1,000 grant for the Build-A-Backpack program. The Child and Youth Education Services School Liaison Program offers the opportunity to gather school supplies for local military and community students in need of extra support before the school year begins. The Raptor Booster Club was able to fill 30 backpacks with supplies that will help them start the new school year with success. Jeff Kendall, vice president of Veteran Support and Military Family Outreach, said, "We are grateful to be able to give back to our local military community through our Wounded Warriors and Military Endowment Fund."
