LOS ANGELES CHAPTER CHAPTER - Oct 16, 2019

SMC Space Industry Days 2019

The chapter hosted the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) Space Industry Days 2019 in October. During his opening remarks, Col. Scott Beidleman, USAF (Ret.), chapter president, introduced Lt. Gen. John F. Thompson, USAF, commander of SMC. Other speakers for the two-day event included Gen. Stephen W. Wilson, USAF, vice chief of staff; Maj. Gen. Nina M. Armagno, USAF, director, Space Programs, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Acquisition, Washington, D.C.; and Michael Dickey, director, Enterprise Strategy and Architectures Office and the Air Force Space Command chief architect at Air Force Space Command Headquarters, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. The Los Angeles Space Industry Days event was organized by Lane Gilchrist.
