Chapter Hosts Field Trip to SOFWERX |
The chapter hosted 68 students from four local high schools at SOFWERX in November. Per their website (www.sofwerx.org), SOFWERX is a platform headquartered in Tampa, Florida, that helps solve challenging warfighter problems at scale through collaboration, ideation, events and rapid prototyping. The chapter held a field trip where students toured the facility, had an engaging conversation with Pablo Breuer, innovation officer, Donovan Group, U.S. Special Operations Command, and presented their student-led solutions for architecting "Zero-Trust Networks" at a fictitious casino. The chapter works with local schools and teachers to facilitate practical cybersecurity experiences for students to take part in. |
