Chapter Hosts Ideation and Innovation Forum

Ideation and Innovation is a new series from the chapter to grow and educate the Embedded Systems community. The series is focused on those interested in the area where software meets physical systems. Each event will feature a government speaker to highlight challenges that must be addressed, an academic speaker to present the state of the possible and a discussion among academia, industry and government personnel. November's event kicked off at Wright Brothers Institute in Dayton, Ohio. The government speaker was Richard Kutter, technical advisor, Embedded Computer Systems and Software, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and the academic speaker was Suresh Jagannathan from Purdue University. The academic or scientific expert gives an overview of their technology area, the government talks about challenges they would like to see addressed, and industry openly dialogues ideas, best practices and potential solutions. November's topics were Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) for Embedded System Software Development. The event wrapped up with a networking event social immediately following. The annual sponsors are Segue, The MITRE Corporation, FTI and Cloud Lake Technology.
