Young AFCEAN Mentor Protege Night Goes Virtual |
The chapter's Young AFCEANs hosted its annual Mentor Protégé Night in a virtual venue for the first time. The event was held on the Zoom platform after a brief introduction of mentors to include a self-introduction by the one-and-only Maj. Gen. John Maluda, USAF (Ret.). Shawn Cressman opened and thanked the group for joining this special night online. Keynote speaker, Tiffany Tremont, a former Young AFCEA vice president, told an inspiring story of her journey from Air Force member to president and CEO of San Antonio-based cybersecurity company, SiloTech Group Inc. Interspersed with her thoughts on the benefits of mentorship, Tremont discussed the roadblocks that many young professionals from a variety of backgrounds often face in search of success and how to overcome them and succeed. |

![]() In October, chapter mentors and proteges meet up online for a virtual Mentor Protege Night. The annual event normally takes place in-person but went virtual due to the ongoing pandemic. That didn't stop the chapter from hosting a top-notch event that left everyone with more knowledge and a larger network. |
