Pete Greany, program executive officer for services acquisition in the Center for Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics at U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), joined the chapter and spoke about the current volatility of the service contracts within the J6. The J6 needs industry partners to assist with the efficiency within the information technology space, while also being cognizant of cost. The J6 is trying to become more efficient while inviting those saved dollars into other areas. Greany also emphasized the importance of the Theater Special Operation Commands moving forward on the next enterprise service contracts. Greany finished off by stating that USSOCOM is looking to curate all the data, as well as improve communication with the J6 on what to do with all the data.
