In February the chapter board was visited by Kent Schneider, president and chief executive officer of AFCEA International. Schneider addressed issues such as the relationship between AFCEA International and the European Chapters, and specifically how European chapters can better benefit from AFCEA US activities. He also highlighted the relationship between AFCEA, government members and industry, particularly in relation to AFCEA's role in integrity issues, sponsorship and joint cooperation. Also mentioned were possibilities for more Netherlands-related articles in SIGNAL Magazine, such as military issues, national projects and commercial and industry developments. Schneider was also briefed on the past and future activities of the chapter before the meeting was concluded with a formal dinner.
